2005 saw Colvex expand as they took
on the services of keyboardist Adam
Rackham for their
concerts which were by now attracting much attention.
None moreso than when the band reached the semi finals
of the Emergenza band contest, but narrowly missed
out on a chance to progress to the national final
at the London Astoria.
However
the disappointment was short-lived as just a short time
later the band went on to perform a charged headline slot
at Storm on Leicester Square, attracting rave reviews amongst
fans and critics alike, rounding off their most successful
year to date.
The band unfortunately hit a setback in 2006 when
Scott departed down under with his young family to
take up a position at a top media agency in Sydney,
Australia. Adam followed soon afterwards to devote
more time to his new audio visual business. However
lead singer Simon and Gav vowed to continue the Colvex
story and embarked work on their greatest project
to date - the completion of their first album.
