In
early 2007 a replacement for Scott was found in the
shape of former Crye Innocent bass guitarist Shaun
Lyon and the band were underway again, once more
as a 3 piece. After six months of intensive rehearsals, the band made an impressive return to the concert trail that November with a
fine performance again at Storm - just where they'd left off!
2008 began with immediate
success as the band scored a radio hit with longtime live favourite "A Piece Of The Action"
gaining airplay on Internet and local FM radio stations both in the UK and the USA.
In February, Gav made the long trip Down Under to
visit his old pal Scott in Sydney and, during his
stay, the two spent time recording material for the
album, making it a truly international production!
For the remainder of the year, domestic matters
took centre stage as first Shaun then Simon both
became fathers for the first time! In Sydney, Scott’s
wife Lucy also gave birth to twin boys – meaning
no fewer than 4 Colvex-babies were born in the year!
