However, both of these shows paled by comparison with
the band’s appearance at the Music
On The Moor festival
near Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire on 11 July. At 7.30pm,
Colvex took to the main stage to perform to a crowd numbering
in the thousands – quite easily the band’s
biggest live audience to date. Unleashing the big guns,
the band played an electric set comprising all their best-known
numbers. A truly unforgettable experience for all concerned!
In the run up towards the end of the year the band, gaining confidence from their festival appearances, played a number of fine local gigs on home turf before returning into the big smoke to end 2009 on a high note at full volume with a special Christmas gig at Belushi's bar in Camden.
Colvex stormed straight on into 2010 with the release of a new video to accompany "A Piece Of The Action", the clip forming a montage of highlights from many of the band's best live performances over the preceding 18 months. And, in recognition of their growing reputation as killer performers, Colvex were honoured in February with a nomination for Best Live Act at the 2010 Emerging Talent Awards.
